Field Recordings launching of their first-ever wine for a cause: PPP (Paso Piquette Project). All proceeds will go toward a scholarship fund that we've set up: We will be offering $5,000 scholarships to workers in the vineyard, winery, restaurant and hospitality industries to go toward extended education, starting with the 2021 school year, with applications opening later this year.
This piquette came about as a community effort as well: We gathered pomace from 9 other wineries in the Paso Robles area and brought it all back to Tin City to make this wine.
If you're not familiar with this style, it's made by rehydrating skins that have been crushed in production. We let the skins soak for a few days, then ferment. The result is a bubbly, low alchohol, super drinkable red wine. Yum.
